Last week, Nichols Weitzner Thomas LLP (“NWT”) achieved a big win for the manager of a local specialty hospital. The plaintiff, the disgruntled former CEO of the hospital, claimed he was owed a substantial amount of salary under a “golden parachute” provision in an amended employment agreement he drafted for himself and got the hospital’s board to “approve.”
At trial, NWT litigation partners Zach Thomas and Greg Flores showed there was insufficient evidence to bind the hospital management company to the amended employment agreement. The result: zero liability for NWT’s client—no damages, no interest, and no attorneys’ fees owed. A decisive victory that reinforces NWT’s track record of delivering great results for its clients.
